Arno speelt onderzoeksjournalistje

"Those who believe that Nixon's betrayer "Deep Throat" was a real official, and not a compostie, advance well-argued reasons that he must have been a senior FBI official, probably Mark Felt, John Mohr, or L. Patrick Gray."

Verder opvallend deze uit 1999 :

"On the 25th anniversary of Rich. Nixon's retirement from public life, Slate mag. revisits the Deep Throat question (www.slate.com & click on "chatterbox") Points the finger of suspicion on a former FBI official named W. Mark Felt. Felt, who now is 80+, denies it and says the kind of info the Post was printing had to come from multiple sources. I agree."

"there is a fun story about this from a kid who went to camp with the son of one of the reporters. kid claims that the son said that deep throat was Mark Felt and that his mother freaked out so bad about this that she wrote it down. a normal child would not know who Mark Felt was, but whatever. The kid plays around on this one, but it's pretty humorous/interesting:"
